Exempt Information - Exclusion of Members of the Public

The public may be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information.

 

RECOMMENDED – That in accordance with section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business, on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined by the relevant paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A (as amended) to that Act. The public interest test has been applied and favours exclusion.

Minutes:

Resolved - That, under section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined by paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A (as amended) to that Act. The public interest test has been applied and favours exclusion.

Grievance Appeal

Following the adjournment of the Sub-Committee on 5 March, 2012, the Sub-Committee will reconvene to determine the grievance appeal of a member of the Adult Social Services Department.

Minutes:

Further to minute 29 (5/3/12) the Sub-Committee reconvened to consider the grievance appeal of an employee in the Adult Social Services Department. The appellant was represented by Ms Brenda Hall of UNISON and the Department was represented by Mr Rick O’Brien.

 

Having heard the case put forward by the appellant, but prior to the Departmental response, the Chair then agreed due to it being late in the day, that the Sub-Committee adjourn, it was then -

 

Resolved – That the Sub-Committee adjourn until Monday 23 July, 2012 at 9.30am.
