That attendance at ‘The Government Transformation Forum’ free event to be held in Manchester on 22 March 2017 be authorised. Any travel expenses incurred in line with the Members Allowances Scheme be agreed.

 


21/03/2017 - Sustainable Transport Enhancement Package Years 3-6 (STEP) ref: 3239    Recommendations Approved

The report of the Strategic Commissioner for Environment recommends approval of acceptance of £3,025,000 of funding for schemes to be delivered over years 3 to 6 of the Sustainable Transport Enhancement Programme for 2017/18 to 2020/21 and to allocate it to the projects outlined in the report.

Resolved –

 

(1)  That the acceptance of £3,025,000 of Sustainable Transport Enhancements Programme (STEP) funding allocated to Wirral Council by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, be approved.

 

(2)  That the proposed programme as set out in Appendix 1 to the report, be approved.

 

(3)  That the Strategic Commissioner – Environment, in conjunction with the Assistant Director, Law and Governance be given delegated authority to enter into a formal funding agreement with the Combined Authority to accept the funding and commit the Authority to the delivery of the programme. 

 

(4)  That the Strategic Commissioner – Environment, in conjunction with the Cabinet Member for Transport and Infrastructure, be given delegated authority to liaise with the Combined Authority to make adjustments to the programme should the need arise, due to financial or other factors.
