Installation of Mobile Classrooms at Hayfield School

    This report requests that the Interim Director of Regeneration and Place agrees to award a construction contract to Portacabin Ltd. The contract allows for a rental period for two mobile classrooms for a 104-week period which will enable an additional 40 Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) pupil places to be provided at the school.

    Reason for urgency:
    The urgency around this decision is due to the very tight timescales for delivering the project to meet SEND pupil numbers for the next academic year 2022/23. Contract details could not be drawn up until site investigations and ground conditions were known which in turn impact on the specification of the tender. In order to meet the timescales the contract must commence early August
