The Winter Gritting Operation is a Statutory Duty and this award of contract is for the Provision of Drivers and second men to undertake the Winter Service by driving the gritting vehicles. The season is usually 21 weeks starting in November and ending April . Actual dates to be confirmed. This contract will have been tendered through the Fusion 21 Grounds Maintenance Framework Suppliers. EOI are currently being obtained. Gritting vehicles are obtained through a separate Framework Contract. 2024-25 season costs for drivers approx £280,000 This contract will be for 3 plus 2 years possible extension.
