Hello,

My name is Lesley Rennie and I am one of three Conservative Councillors in Wallasey Ward.  Together with my colleagues, Cllr Paul Hayes and Cllr Kate Wood, we serve all residents throughout the year, regardless of political views.

I have lived in Wirral all my life and have been married to Tom for 34 years.  Our son Duncan was born in 1980.  Duncan is now 27 and after graduating from Liverpool University with a degree in Mathematics he is now qualified as a Chartered Accountant. 

I was a serving Police Officer in the Cheshire Constabulary and later joined Merseyside Police, serving the people of Wallasey.

I first joined the Council in 1991 being elected for Prenton Ward.  I was elected to Wallasey Ward in 1997 following my involvement in the many campaigns in the area I was re-elected in 2004.

I am Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group on Wirral Council and a member of the Merseyside Fire and Civil Defences authority.

I am an active member of Rotary International and serve on the community committee.  I am a governor of Elleray Park Special School in Wallasey  and  an active member of  numerous community groups and conservation organisations as well as being a member of the Wallasey and New Brighton Forum.  I am also a 'Champion'  for 'Smoke free Wirral.
