Lairdside Communities Together (LCT) was established as a Community Development Trust in 1996 with objectives to promote, support and deliver regeneration, wealth, prosperity and economic well-being in Tranmere and Rock Ferry and across Wirral.

In November 2009 the trust merged with Together Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder and took responsibility for delivery of its government funded regeneration programme. The programme provided the cornerstone for the future of LCT, to continue beyond its funding period. Plans were put in place to develop the organisation into a hub for community activity and community influence, community services and enterprise.
