Minute Decision : Resolved - That, under section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined by paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A (as amended) to that Act. |

Minute Text : The Sub-Committee convened to consider an appeal against demotion of an employee in the Adult Social Services Department. The appellant was represented by Mr K Birch of UNISON. |

Minute Decision : Resolved - That, having considered carefully all the evidence, the Appeals Sub-Committee allows the appeal and, (i) the apellant be reinstated in her post. (ii) recommends to management that the appellant does not resume administering medication until her knowledge of the medication procedures has been satisfactorily tested and her diligence in following those procedures carefully assessed on a phased basis. (iii) the appellant receive a new final written warning relating specifically to medication. |
