Item 1 - OUTSTANDING OBJECTIONS TO ADVERTISED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS


Summary:

At its meeting on 7 November (minute 40 refers) the Streetscene and Transport Services Committee considered a report from the Director of Technical Services regarding objections to the following traffic regulation orders, together with his recommendations to the Cabinet Member pertinent to the locations identified in the report. The Overview and Scrutiny Committee resolved that the recommendations in the report in respect of the following the sites be endorsed and referred to the Cabinet Member for approval:

(i) That in relation to the proposal to amend the traffic regulation order at Bath Street, Port Sunlight, to remove a section of waiting restrictions, the objectors' concerns be noted but that the proposal be introduced as advertised.

(ii) That in relation to the proposal to extend existing waiting restrictions in Adaston Avenue, Eastham, the objector's concerns be noted but that the proposal be introduced as advertised.

(iii) That in relation to the proposal to reduce the extent of existing waiting restrictions in Wright Street, Egremont, the objector's concerns be noted but that the proposal be introduced as advertised.

(iv) That in relation to the proposal to reduce existing waiting restrictions in Lycett Road, Wallasey, the objectors' concerns be noted but that the proposal be introduced as advertised.

(v) (5:2) That in relation to the proposal to no waiting at any time restrictions at Mill Lane, Station Road, and Rostherne Avenue, Wallasey, the objectors' concerns be noted but that the revised proposal be introduced.

(vi) That in relation to the proposal to prohibit driving on Seacombe Promenade, Seacombe, the objector's concerns be noted but that the proposal be introduced as advertised.

(vii) That in relation to the proposal to no waiting at any time restrictions along a section of Townfield Lane/ Noctorum Lane, Noctorum, the objector’s concerns be noted but that the proposal be introduced as advertised.

THE DECISION IS DUE TO BE TAKEN BY THE CABINET PORTFOLIO HOLDER (COUNCILLOR JEAN QUINN) ON 3 DECEMBER.





Recommendation:

The recommendations of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee are referred to the Cabinet member for approval.
