Item 4 - REVISED CODE OF CONDUCT FOR LOCAL AUTHORITY MEMBERS


Summary:

This report introduces the Department of Communities and Local Government’s consultation paper on the revised Code of Conduct for Members. It seeks members, views on the draft in order that any response may be made by the deadline of 9 March 2007.


Recommendation:

(1) That the report be noted.

(2) That members’ give their views on an appropriate response to the consultation paper on “Amendments to the Model Code of Conduct for Local Authority Members”.

Item 5 - "UNREASONABLY PERSISTENT" COMPLAINANTS AND "UNREASONABLE COMPLAINANT BEHAVIOUR" - GUIDANCE FROM THE OMBUDSMAN

This guidance has been issued with the aim of helping local authorities to formulate policies on unreasonably persistent complainants and unreasonable complainant behaviour.
