Item 2 - ETHICAL STANDARDS FRAMEWORK: CODE OF CONDUCT FOR MEMBERS
Summary:
This report sets out the Government's code of conduct for councillors and asks the Committee to make recommendations to the Council about the adoption of such a code for Wirral.
A decision is required in order that the Council might comply with statutory obligations imposed under Part III of the Local Government Act 2000.
Recommendation:
That the Committee advise the Council on the adoption of a model Code of Conduct and the implementation date.
