Item 2 - LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 2000 - GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF CONDUCT AND MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT
Summary:
This report encloses two Government papers. The first is the Government's views on the General Principles of Conduct in Local Government and is for noting. The second is a draft Model Code of Conduct for members upon which views are requested by 27 April 2001.
Recommendation:
Members views are requested on the draft Model Code of Conduct for Members.

Item 3 - REPORTING OF COMPLAINTS
Summary:
Further to minute 4 of the meeting of 18 September 2000 this report suggests a reporting procedure to deal with complaints to the Ombudsman and those made via the Council's complaints procedure.
Recommendation:
The views of the Committee are requested.
