Item 1 - DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Summary:

Members of the Committee are requested to declare any interest they may have, either personal or prejudicial, in any of the items on the agenda and, if so, to declare them and state what they are.

Members are reminded that they should also declare, pursuant to paragraph 18 of the Overview and Scrutiny Procedure Rules, whether they are subject to a party whip in connection with any item(s) to be considered and, if so, to declare it and state the nature of the whipping arrangement.

Item 2 - PROJECTED BUDGET 2008/2011

Summary:

At Cabinet on 4th October a number of budget savings were proposed and Cabinet asked that these items be referred to the relevant Overview & Scrutiny Committee for their consideration. There are two items within the Corporate Services department proposals that fall within the remit of this Overview & Scrutiny Committee. These are a budget reduction of £30,000 to be achieved by staff restructuring within the Transformational Change Team and a budget reduction of £60,000 within the Corporate Policy Team to be achieved by restructuring and a reduction in printing costs.

Recommendation:

That these budget saving be endorsed by the Overview & Scrutiny Committee.
