The purpose of the report of the Interim Strategic Director: Regeneration and Environment is to seek authority to spend the following funds, awarded to the Council following competitive bidding, by 31st March 2013:

(a)  Warm Homes Healthy People Fund award from Department of Health of £100,176 for 2012/13 plus an under spend from the 2011/12 allocation awarded of £27,145.30

(b)  Fuel Poverty Fund award from Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) for £50,000

Both funds are ring-fenced and must be spent as detailed in the grant guidance and application forms, offer letters and, in the case of DECC, the Memorandum of Understanding.

Resolved – That approval is given to spend the following funds awarded to the Council following competitive bidding:

(a)  Warm Homes Healthy People Fund award from Department of Health of £100,176 for 2012/13 plus an under spend from the 2011/12 bidding round of £27,145.30.

(b)  Fuel Poverty Fund award from Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) for £50,000.
