The report of the Strategic Director of Regeneration and Environment seeks approval to the existing Merseyside Business Support Programme contract being extended under the existing agreement with Wirral Chamber until March 2016. This will allow continued support to Wirral Businesses until the New European programme is in place next year.

Resolved –

(1)  That the extension of the existing Merseyside Business Support contract with Wirral Chamber of Commerce until March 2016, be approved.

(2)  That the Head of Legal and Democratic Services be authorised to sign a contract variation with Wirral Chamber for the continuation of the Merseyside Business Support Programme.

(3)  That a maximum of £100,000 from existing match funding be spent on business support until March 2016.
