The purpose of the report of the Director of Public Health is to request agreement to a budget of £4M for an initial 3 year contract (2016-2019) with an option of two one-year extensions for a Nicotine and Smoking Cessation Treatment Service as a key part of the Council’s local tobacco control work.

Resolved – 

(1)  That a maximum budget of £4,000,000 for a three year contract (2016-2019), with an option for two further one year extensions for a Nicotine and Smoking Cessation Treatment Service, be agreed..

(2)  That the Director of Public Health be authorised to secure these services within the Council’s Contract Procedure Rules, and to take appropriate action in respect of ensuring effective implementation of the service.
