The Director of
Neighbourhood Services has approved the award of a contract to
L&R Roadlines Ltd (company registration number 01803280) for a
term of 4 months for an estimated contract value of £200,000
for the purpose of carriageway overbanding, screed patching and
extruder lining works within Wirral.
Reasons for the decision:
The works provided under the proposed contract
will enable the Council to carry out essential highway maintenance
works to provide and lay a hot thermoplastic carriageway compliant
screed to repair carriageway surfaces, provide and lay a hot,
over-banding material, and extruder white and yellow road lines,
with various letters and arrows on main roads.
The works provided under the proposed contract is to enable the
Council to meet its statutory duties under Section 41 of the
Highways Act 1980.
Alternative options considered:
Current contracts did not off this specialist
carriageway treatment therefore this option was
discounted.
Interests and Nature of Interests Declared:
The decision has been taken under Part 3 Section C - Overview and Scheme of Delegations of Authority to Officers as the decision is not reserved to a Committee or Sub-Committee and the Director is satisfied that paragraphs 2(a) to 2(c) apply.
