275 Contract for the Supply and Distribution of Frozen Food pdf icon PDF 46 KB

Minutes:

A report by the Director of Finance requested that the Cabinet note the award of this contract to Woodwards Foodservice.  The Cabinet was advised that the Council would use a framework contract let by The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO) (formerly Scottish & Northern Universities Purchasing Initiative (SNUPI)). The two year contract would run from 10 January 2011 to 9 January 2013, with the option to extend annually for up to a further two years.

 

The Cabinet was reminded that TUCO was a public body which had been used for a number of years by the Council for various catering framework arrangements and the annual spend was approximately £515,000.

 

RESOLVED: 

 

That the award of this contract to Woodwards Foodservice at an annual saving of £65,000 be noted.
