Gave a presentation to the Committee on the Hive- Wirral youth zone with an update and uptake from Wirral South’s Young People.
Questions
The affordability of the fare to attend the Hive in Central Birkenhead even with the £2 ticket which is only valid to 8.30pm talks taking place with Mersey travel to extend the time to 10.30pm even so this is still a barrier for them to attend.
Travelling home at 10pm from Birkenhead Bus Station concerns were raised about the local vicinity and not feeling safe.
The Hive unlike other youth Centre’s is not empty during the day as it is booked by schools to use.
