Sue Ashley advised the Forum that school balances at 31^st March 2018 increased slightly to £10.2m.  Indications are that school balances will reduce significantly over the next 2 years.  The LA continues to work with headteachers and governors to ensure that budgets balance or to support 3 year plans where they do not.  The ESFA has provided the LA with an analytical tool which will be used with exiting processes to identify schools that may be at risk.
