The Director of Governance and Assurance submitted a report for Members of the Committee to consider revised Private Hire Operator Conditions.

 

Members were informed that amendments to the conditions related particularly to the recording of complaints, staff employed by the Operator and booking records.

 

On a motion by the Chair and seconded by Councillor A Hodson it was –

 

Resolved  - That consideration of this matter be deferred to a future date.

Minutes:

The Chair accepted this matter as urgent business.

 

The Director of Governance and Assurance provided a verbal report requesting that in light of the current unprecedent circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, delegated authority be granted to the Director of Governance and Assurance to undertake all functions within the Committee’s terms of reference where deemed necessary and appropriate to do so until such time as emergency legislation is passed which would allow for meetings to be held and decisions to be taken remotely by Members.

 

On a motion by the Chair and seconded by Councillor D Mitchell it was –

 

Resolved That delegated authority be granted to the Director of Governance and Assurance to undertake all functions within the Committee’s terms of reference where it is deemed necessary and appropriate to do so until such time as emergency legislation is passed which will allow for meetings to be held and decisions to be taken remotely by Members.
