HACKNEY CARRIAGE VEHICLE LICENCE - APPLICATION Minutes: The Strategic Director of Regeneration and Environment reported on an application received to license a Hackney Carriage Vehicle, registration number DK03 PXX.
The vehicle licence holder was present, with his legal representative. Members inspected Mr B’s vehicle.
Members heard representations from Mr Casey, legal representative regarding the circumstances and the reasons why the license was not renewed before its date of expiry.
Members considered the Council’s policies for licensing Hackney Carriage Vehicles and on this occasion exercised their discretion to consider this case on its individual merits and act outside of their policy in determining this matter.
Resolved (5:0) – That Mr B be granted a Hackney Carriage Licence.
