The Assistant Chief Executive reported upon an application to re-licence a Vauxhall Vectra, registration number YB06 POA, beyond the normal over-age date for a licensed private hire vehicle.

The vehicle had been licensed as a private hire vehicle since 2 October 2014 and the current licence had been due to expire on 27 June 2016, however it had been extended to the date of the meeting.  It had passed the compliance test necessary for a licence to be issued. 

The vehicle was presented at the meeting, which Members of the Panel inspected. 

RESOLVED:

That the application to re-licence the Vauxhall Vectra, registration number YB06 POA be granted for a further six months. The advisories on the MOT Certificate to be attended to within 14 days.

The Assistant Chief Executive reported upon an application to re-licence a Toyota Avensis, registration number NM06 ZDN, beyond the normal over-age date for a licensed private hire vehicle.

The vehicle had been licensed as a private hire vehicle since 21 May 2014 and the current licence had been due to expire on 10 August 2016, however it had been extended to the date of the meeting.  It had passed the compliance test necessary for a vehicle to be issued.

The vehicle was presented at the meeting, which Members of the Panel inspected.

Resolved – That the application to re-licence the Toyota Avensis, registration number NM06 ZDN be granted for a further six months.

Resolved - That, under section 100 (A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined by paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A (as amended) to that Act.

The Assistant Chief Executive reported upon an application from Mr PJS to consider whether he should be granted a Private Hire Driver Licence. 

Mr PJS did not attend the meeting.

In his absence, the Panel resolved not to consider the application.
