Exempt Information - Exclusion of the Press and Public The public may be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information.
RECOMMENDED
That in accordance with section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business, on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined by the relevant paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to that Act. The public interest test has been applied and favours exclusion.

Appointment of Director of Adult Social Services To interview the short listed candidates for this post. Minutes: Further to minute 13 (25/10/11) the Sub-Committee interviewed the two short-listed candidates for the post of Director of Adult Social Services.
It was moved by the Chair and seconded by Councillor McArdle, that –
“Candidate number 3 be appointed to the post of Director of Adult Social Services.”
It was moved as an amendment by Councillor Green and seconded by Councillor Rennie, that –
“Candidate number 6 be appointed to the post of Director of Adult Social Services.”
The amendment was put and lost (2:3).
The motion was put and carried (3:2).
Resolved (3:2) – That Graham Hodkinson, currently Assistant Director – Adult and Local Services, Cumbria County Council, be appointed to the post of Director of Adult Social Services. |
