01/06/2021 - OUTCOME OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH RECOMMISSIONING PROCESS FOR A PREVENTATIVE AND EARLY INTERVENTION SECONDARY SCHOOL BASED COUNSELLING SERVICE ref: 4852 For Determination
On 19 November 2020, the Adult Social Care and
Health Committee authorised the Director of Public Health to
recommission a range of services. Given the nature of this
particular service, it was agreed that this should be formally
authorised by the Children, Young People and Education Committee,
which took place on the 1st December 2020. The process has now
concluded, the tenders received have been fully evaluated according
to council procurement rules and the Director of Public Health will
take the decision to award the contract to the successful
bidder.

RESOLVED – That the Director of Public Health accepts the winning tender for the Preventative and Early Intervention Secondary School Based Counselling Service to the provider detailed in Appendix 1 to the report and approve the award of a one-year contract (with the option to extend for one year) commencing on 1st September 2021. The contract has a maximum value of £223,626.

On 19 November 2020, the Adult Social Care and
Health Committee authorised the Director of Public Health to
recommission a range of services. Given the nature of this
particular service, it was agreed that this should be formally

The contract term has a maximum value of £202,640.

On 19th November 2020, the Adult Social Care and Health Committee
authorised the Director of Public Health to recommission a Stop
Smoking Service for Wirral. This report provides an update on the
recommissioning process and outcome.
The process has concluded, the tenders received have been fully
evaluated according to Council procurement rules and the Director
of Public Health will take the decision to award the contract to
the successful bidder.
The proposed actions affect all Wards within the borough and the
decisions requested are key decisions.
