Procurement and Award Report for Direct Payment Support Service
On the 23rd of January 2024, the Adult Social
Care and Public Health Committee agreed the contents of a report,
seeking authorisation to commence with the appointment of an
accredited provider for a merged Direct Payment Support Service.
This is to include a payroll and managed accounts service,
information advice and guidance for current and potential Direct
Payment recipients and a Personal Assistant register. The Director
of Adults, Health and Strategic Commissioning was also given the
delegated authority to award the contract to the successful
bidder.
Following intense commissioning activity, which included market
engagement and consultation with Direct Payment recipients, a
tender exercise is about to commence. A report will be submitted
for Officer Decision in August 2024 and the purpose of the report
will be to notify the Director of Adults, Health and Strategic
Commissioning of the outcome of a competitive tender process
appointing a new Direct Payment Support Service Provider.
