The Partnership comprising of representatives of the local authorities of Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral has been established with the following objectives:

·  To enable open discussion and ensure fair and strong representation on the North West Regional Flood and Coastal Committee;

·  To ensure that the needs of the North West Regional Flood and Coastal Committee  and that the representations of the Environment Agency and DEFRA are disseminated and understood at the Merseyside sub-regional level; and

·  To endorse and co-ordinate funding bids for the Merseyside partners.
