The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.

Apologies were received from Councillor Phil Gilchrist who was deputised by Councillor Chris Carubia.

Members' Code of Conduct - Declarations of Interest

Members are asked to consider whether they have any disclosable pecuniary interests and/or any other relevant interest in connection with any item(s) on this agenda and, if so, to declare them and state the nature of the interest.

Minutes:

Members of the Sub Committee were asked to declare any disclosable pecuniary and non-pecuniary interests, in connection with any item on the agenda and state the nature of the interest.

 

No such declarations were made.

To approve the accuracy of the minutes of the meeting held on 28th July 2022.

Minutes:

Members identified that Councillors Nolan, Hodson and Jones had been omitted from the attendance of the previous minutes and asked that this be rectified.

 

Resolved – That the subject to the amendments above, the minutes of the meeting held on 28 July be approved and adopted as a correct record.

Exempt Information - Exclusion of the press and public

The following item contains exempt information.

 

 RECOMMENDATION – That in accordance with section 100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item of business, on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined by paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A (as amended) to that Act. The public interest test has been applied and favours exclusion.

 

Minutes:

On a motion by Councillor Jean Robinson, seconded by Councillor Tom Anderson and agreed by assent, it was –

 

Resolved - That, under section 100 (A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined by paragraphs 1 of Part I of Schedule 12A (as amended) to that Act.

Appointment of Director of Regeneration and Place

To interview the short-listed candidates for this post.

 

Minutes:

The Panel interviewed the short-listed candidates for the post of Director of Regeneration and Place.

 

On a motion by Councillor Jean Robinson, seconded by Councillor Tom Anderson, it was –

 

Resolved – That David Hughes be appointed to the post of Director of Regeneration and Place.
